CCSA’s Conservation in a Changing Climate Conference was held from 19 – 21 May at Enterprise House in Unley and was attended by over 150 people.

CONNECT 07 got off to a good start, being opened by the Minister for Environment and Conservation the Hon Gail Gago. This was followed by an introduction from CCSA President Jane Corin, who highlighted the importance of CCSA’s mission and vision for the wider environment movement.
One of the main aims of CONNECT 07 was to promote connectivity throughout the conservation sector and the environmental movement. Judging from responses received on the evaluation forms this was accomplished.
Feedback from participants highlighted a common appreciation of the benefits of attending and the high quality of the presentations, workshops and strategic discussions.
A common thread to emerge from many of the sessions (that will be followed up in the next issue of Briefs) was the need for the entire community to embrace widespread behavioural changes as an integral part of  the transition to a low-carbon lifestyle and society.
If you weren’t able to attend, the Conference proceedings will be posted here in the near future. This will ensure that the maximum benefits of the conference will be available to as wide an audience as possible.
